PARALLAX
A custom typeface I made built around super-condensed letterforms, repetition, and fragmented shapes. Its narrow proportions create a sense of compression and movement, while the repeated forms within each letter introduce a visual rhythm that reflects the way sound and vibration move through space. I applied Parallax to a reimagined album design for Calvin Harris’ Motion, using the typeface as the primary visual language across the album artwork, track listing, and vinyl sticker. The condensed forms create a feeling of energy and intensity that connects to the album’s electronic sound, while the repetition and distortion of the letterforms echo the rhythm and vibrations within the music. The result is a type-driven identity where the typography doesn’t just display the album title—it becomes part of the experience of the music itself.
